Youssef is a young actor studying drama and film at Trinity College Dublin.
At Trinity, he has been involved in many productions there including playing Baxter in LOW IN THE DARK as well as playing Ross in ROSS AND RACHEL, directed by Ursula McGinn. He is also part of a college acting ensemble known as ‘Babushka Collaborative’ as well as an improvisation group in college which means that he is very comfortable when it comes to being thrown into a scene in which he is required to think on the spot.
In 2017, he appeared as ‘Wrath’ in BY THE SKIN OF OUR TEETH as part of The Scene and Heard 2017 and played Nikos (lead) in BIG LOVE, directed by Mark Atkinson of Sugar Glass Theatre.
He played Bartholanus in TOPOGRAPHIA HIBERNIA, a short directed by Liza Bolton which has since been developed into a Mini series. The second and third instalment has been filmed with 4th one due to be filmed in September 2018. Prior to this he filmed another short entitled THE DRAGON PROJECT for DIT.
He played Achilles (lead) in DROWN in the Samuel Beckett theatre in February 2018. As well as appearing in THE CHASED (lead) as part of Smock Alley’s Scene and Heard festival 2018.
Youssef recently was awarded a distinction in stage combat from the Irish Dramatic Combat Association.
He is very good with accents, he plays football and tennis to a very high standard and is a good tenor singer.
He is currently shooting Series 2 of BERNARD DUNNE’S MYTHICAL HEROES for RTE.
