Tim Casey was born in Belfast to Irish/German parentage, grew up in Galway and is now based in Dublin,
He has performed all over Ireland, in the UK, Germany and the USA.
Recent TV and film work includes Hermann Göring in National Geographic’s NAZI MEGASTRUCTURES (season 4), Dr Robson – a troubled therapist – in John McGovern’s darkly comic short JUST ABOUT MANAGING, and twins Patrick and Patricia in LEMON DROPS, a bleak comedy directed by Kevin Kelleher and set in rural Kerry. For his role as Barty Carty in the film of the same name, Tim received the Best Lead Actor in a Comedy award at the Watergate Festival.
Tim has extensive stage experience playing both lead and support in a wide variety of genres ranging from Shakespeare (both tragedy and comedy) to modern (Mark Ravenhill) and particularly enjoys working with new writing.
He has also translated several plays by the German dramatist Theresia Walser, which have been performed in the USA and India.
He is a fluent German speaker.
