Fionnuala is an actor based in Dublin who graduated from Drama and Theatre Studies, Trinity in 2015.
Fionnuala’s most recent stage credits include Toraíocht (directed by Mikel Murfi), HOSTEL 16 (directed by Raymond Keane) and Nina in Pan Pan’s The Seagull and Other Birds in the Backa Theater, Gothenburg (directed by Gavin Quinn).
Some of her other theatre credits include: Cascando(PanPanTheatre), Jamesy (directed by Sinéad O’Loughlin), Annie (An Taibhdhearc), Rosencrantz and Guildenstern a re Dead, In Camera, St ockholm, The Lesson and At The Haw k’s Well (Samuel Beckett Theatre), Sometimes We Break (Junk Ensemble), The Critic (Rough Mag ic), HARP, The Last PostandBRB, (DublinFringeFestival), various Macnas productions and Noodle, a one woman show which she wrote and performed as part of the Galway Fringe Festival, 2014.
Fionnuala recently played one of the leading roles in a new 6 part comedy drama series, Eipic (Magamedia Productions), which aired on TG4 in February, 2016. Fionnuala’s previous screen credits inclu de Crisis Eile (Wildfire Films), directed by Charlie McCarthy. She also plays the ongoing voice of ‘Peg’ the children’s cartoon Peg + Cat (Glór Media), TG4. Fionnuala is currently working on 3 productions happening in Smock Alley’s Scene and Heard Festival in 2017.
As well as acting, Fionnuala has a keen interest in writing and devising. In 2015 Fionnuala was awarded a FUEL residency with Druid Theatre Company as an emerging artist with HOSTEL 16. In February 2016 Fionnuala went to Munich as one of three Irish artists under 28 chosen to take part in a four day masterclass with top European theatre artists to interrogate the relationship between art and politics (Europoly Masterclass, hosted by the Munchner Kammerspiele).Fionnuala will participate on a three day residency with Branar in January 2017 to develop a new children’s piece called T he Boy in The Boat.
