Bill Murphy is an Irish Actor, Voice-over Artist, Singer, Filmmaker and Writer who has worked extensively throughout the world on stage and film in a career spanning over thirty years.
Bill’s most recent credits include The Christmas Break (working title) due for release this year in which he played the character Jerry, The Gone a TVNZ/RTE co-production playing Superintendent Walsh and Vikings Valhalla on Netflix, in which he played the character Ödger. Bill has an impressive back catalogue of Theatre work in Ireland, including the National Theatre of Ireland (Abbey Theatre), most recently on the world premiere of Joyces Women written by Edna O‘ Brien, originating the role of Zozimus, Abbey Calling, Dear Ireland Continues and Country Girls.
From 2015 to 2017, Bill worked on the production Once in Dublin, directed by John Tiffany, playing the character Da at the Olympia Theatre in Dublin and in Seoul in South Korea and China to huge critical acclaim.
Bill has also just released his own short film Lily’s Theme which is playing at various film festivals around the world.
